The Inspiration Behind my Stories
My agent, Deborah, recently asked me if I could write a small paragraph about my reasons for writing – something that describes my passion for writing and the inspirations behind my stories.
At first, I thought that this was going to be a difficult task. So I postponed it for several days before I got started.
However, as soon as I sat down and started thinking about what I will write, it came to me so easily. The words that immediately came into my mind were:
To inspire, to create, and to share.
Why these words?
It is my desire that my stories will help other people on their path to a better life. I believe I have much to share in this regard, both from my own personal experiences and from my imagination and fantasy. There have been many difficult times in my life, and I have had to dig deep inside of myself when writing these stories.
And so, these stories are often a reflection of the hardships in my own life, and how I dealt with them. With each of these hardships, I found a missing piece of the puzzle of my own true soul – the person I was destined to be.
I can now stand with my hand on my heart and say, “My life mission is to inspire people to believe in themselves and to follow their dreams.”
That is why the two most influential people in my life are Walt Disney and Oprah Winfrey. Both of them had their fair share of critics before they got famous – people who tried to crush their dreams. And both had an incredible story of how they pushed through and reached their dreams.
There were many critics who did not believe in these two heroes, but they still kept going. They operated day-in and day-out with one clear goal in mind – to reach their dream. And today, by their achievements, they have touched and helped millions of people all over the world.
Walt Disney once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Or as I have rephrased it and now use as the slogan for my own company, “If you can dream it – we can do it.”
And as Oprah Winfrey said “If you want to accomplish the goals of your life, you have to begin with the spirit.”
